Just a word of thanks for all of your encouraging words, on my new house journey. I sooo miss my plantings at my old home, and I'm impatient to get back to an ample garden. I know it will take time, and I should take the time to enjoy the time in the doing, and I am. But, I miss my peonies, and my heirloom roses, I miss the forsythia, and the tulips of my old place. Plants will become familiar, and become old friends sooner then I think. I'm glad I have all of you to travel along with me. Keep blogging, even if you don't think anyone is watching, they are.
oh i already think with sadness about moving in a few years because of what you posted about. good luck with your new place and hope it feels like home soon!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard moving and not being able to take plants you love along. I have been fortunate enough to have been able to bring a few things along. I have an iris blooming that we had at the house we lived in 11 years ago, and my son has asked for a start of it. Still, I miss some we couldn't bring.
ReplyDeleteYes, enjoy the process of filling in your spaces, and creating new relationships with plants.
I often think that dealing with a new blank canvas can be overwhelming but it so looks like your plans are spectacular! Enjoy~ I am reading along!

I know if I had to leave my garden it would be like leaving good friends behind. The good part of starting over is you can add the plants you loved and not bother with the plants that you didn't really like. Plus you can probably try plants that wouldn't have grown in your previous garden. It'll be fun to watch how it progresses.
ReplyDeleteConsider it a exciting new adventure. Happy blogging!
ReplyDeleteClaudia, I think it's so exciting to have a clean slate. Your garden will be chock-full in no time...if you go crazy at nurseries the way I do...lol!! Your new patio and paths look great and I'll be happy to follow your progress..happy planting!!
